PILATES

Pilates is a training technique whose basic principles are postural alignment, strengthening of the 'core' (deep back muscles, abdominals and pelvic floor), control and coordination of movement with the breathing and elongation and mobilization of the spine. Through a variety of exercises, the follower learns to isolate certain parts of his body to strengthen or lengthen specific muscle groups in order to balance the muscles. It is a deep training, in finesse and body awareness. The practice is done on specialized equipment such as the Reformer, the Cadillac or the chair, or simply on the ground with or without accessories, such as balloons, rubber bands and rollers. Thus, this method becomes versatile and accessible to all. Pilates is a gentle method, which can be used as a regular physical activity, or as an adjunct to another sport, or in rehabilitation, following an injury. At Kinatex Sports Physio, certified instructors offer personalized private lessons as well as group classes to maintain a workout routine. Recommended for: - Fitness; - Balance / diversify a one-dimensional training; - Develop a toned and lengthened musculature; - Strengthen the deep abdominals; - Optimize the breathing and its coordination with the movement; - Promote the healing of wounds; - Relieve lumbar and cervical pain.
