A Licensed Chiropractor practices a drug-free, manual approach to health care that includes patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. In particular, chiropractors assess patients for disorders related the the spine, pelvis, extremity joint, and their effect on the nervous system and soft tissue.
A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is educated to assess and treat soft tissues and joints of the body to prevent dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissue. RMT’s are effective in treating a wide range of conditions including as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia.
A Physiotherapist is a health care professional who diagnose and provide hands-on treatment and exercise prescription to address movement dysfunction. They also plan and implement treatment programs to prevent physical disabilities. Physiotherapists are trained to work with geriatrics/chronic care (arthritis/heart disease), sports injuries, cardiorespiratory (asthma/emphysema/bronchitis), pediatrics, hand rehabilitation, and neurophysiotherapy (spinal cord).
